I am an energetic designer, programmer and marketer with a passion for connecting our online experience to our consumers. I enjoy exploring new and creative ways to drive user engagement while assisting brands to maintain an effective online presence. Our visual intelligence is what guides us to what is right and wrong. With this idea, it is how we interact with everyday designs that can improve our lives. Combining the logical idea of programming and the empathetic nature of designs, this illustrates a story. And every great story has a genuine philosophy that guides it.

With over a decade of experience in programming and design — I am constantly seeking new tools and skills that can enable me to aid my creativity and give me that edge needed to push ideas into reality.  Yes, I can do magic tricks as well!

Core Skills

Over a decade of hands-on experience in the design world holding almost every position. Create beautiful rich artwork in print, business cards. magazine ads, and aspects online advertisements. Design UI/UX software wireframes, eCommerce sites, responsive websites, emails, apps, and mobile websites. Lead creative design strategies and implementation in successful visual campaigns. Lead teams in developing entire architectural designs for websites, advertisements strategies, marketing design strategies, and train staff in principles of photo editing and lighting. Photography is a hobby; however, it has turned into a professional hobby shooting products, landscapes, food, and lifestyle. Freelance model on the side.

It is easy to be creative but it is harder to know the philosophy to build the design on. The foundation of my designs is based on the goals or task at hand. I have always kept this in mind. It is easier to judge than it is to create.

Proficient in building Web User Interface (UI) using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript that follows W3C Web Standards and are browser compatible. Experience working with testing tools like Firebug, Chrome or safari web inspectors. Extensively used the JavaScript frameworks and jQuery plugins. Experience working on Bootstrap, Angular.js, Backbone.js and Responsive design. Push for rapid prototyping and front-end development for rich Internet applications and mobile devices. Practice user centered designs and principles basing design decisions on user needs and business goals.

In a nutshell, a website is a living breathing child in my eyes. We have to take the proper steps, guidance and understanding to figure out how to raise our child properly. Good websites reflect good choices. Bad websites reflect bad choices.

An organized, detailed-oriented, and highly conscientious self-motivator able to strategize and prioritize multiple tasks. Able to stay calm and collected under pressure. Highly skilled listener and ability to communicate. Coordinate, monitor, and delegate tasks based on urgency. Oversee training of new employees and development current team members. Manage all requests and assignments through online project management software. Involved in multiple big corporate websites implementing key strategies and objectives. Research the work structure, project schedules, risks and issues to improve operational goals in completing tasks.

The trick is to know when to give specific detail instructions vs broad creative instructions when working with others.

Develop email marketing strategies and implementations for B2C and eCommerce that initiated online sales or email captured, increased customer awareness, and re-engaged dormant customers. Analyze and present email campaigns results to executives with modifications and overall strategy. Segment customer lists to increase relevancy of email content and frequency with targeted emails. Launch successful incentive programs to encourage subscriptions. Create strategic designs based on split A/B testing to increase conversion rates and subscriptions. Analyze and integrate relevant SEO content, SEM, link building and social media.

Good marketers understand the value of telling a story. It is a harmonic blend of successful failures and learning from those lessons. It is about building an experience online.

  • Retrained the photo editing department by implementing new strategies of editing which increased the product output. Worked with the graphic design department by creating checklist, photoshop strategies, and forms to improve accuracy of launching sales on time successfully.
