Mike Rokei is a resident of beautiful sunny San Diego Orange County, California. He started his graphic design career at age 8. Michael sold his first drawing to his mother. She bought the drawing from him instantly for $1 and announced to all of her friends that he will become very famous. Mike trained intensely with coloring books and cartoons until he started his own business within his elementary school, selling drawings at $3. As two decades passed by, he found out she was horribly wrong about her son becoming famous and his soul was eternally crushed. 🙁

Creative ingenuity and passion for design would describe the love for designing that I have. I take that extra step and give a genuine hospitality, care, and level of attention so that every client or employer knows they are taken care of by me. I believe in order to have a good design in all aspects you should have balance in your life, your family, and your work. I have a strong philosophy about constantly improving and the natural evolution of the working world around us. There is a beauty everywhere you go. You have to take a brief moment and realize that every building, every tree, plant, room, and life was created by a vision from someone else. I’ve learned it is easier to judge someone’s work than it is to create it. With that in mind, I always strive to add and improve rather than destroy someone’s work. You may never know what that small piece of work or mistake can evolve into something beyond your comprehension.

In my free time I try to give something to my community. I am part of a charity organization in which I dress up as a stormtrooper from Star Wars and visit children’s hospitals or give autistic kids a smile. (501st.com). Another personal hobby I picked up is photography, which you can check out my photos. I have never taken a class and I have been taking photos for only a year. I believe that photography is 70% skill, 15% right time and place, and 15% equipment. And last but not least, I am a Disneyland fan. Yes I will go to Disneyland with you. No, I will not buy your ticket.
